Comment on How To Buy Directly From Taobao:The Complete Guide by Bruno.

I frequently use Aliexpress and DHGate.
I really wanted to try Taobao since the prices are better, so I gave it a shot back in December and tried on a low cost item ($17 multitool).
If you can’t read Chinese, the experience is just exhausting.
The same item was $35 on Ebay so I still went through it, it took me about an hour to figure things out.
Everything seemed to have gone fine since the money got taken from my Credit Card within a few days.
It is now May, so over 5 months later, I never received the item nor will I ever receive it.
Going again to Taobao and battling with Google translate, it looks like it’s too late and there is no way to open a complaint or dispute. Not that it even matter since it would have probably been mission impossible to do it in Chinese.

Overall, if you can read and communicate in Chinese, I have no doubt you can have some good deals but if you can’t, it is absolutely not worth the trouble.
